The artwork is part of a series that ambiguously represents the depiction of the human body so that the viewers do not decode it upon first reading but project their own interpretations onto it. Our body is the means of our existence. The ambiguity of the image symbolises the uncertainty and variability of this existence. For this reason, the body is represented elliptically – it is and is not a body- with a symbolic absence of
limbs. Naked figures, as they were born, without the terrestrial weight, are surrounded by empty spaces, sometimes by dystopian spaces, standing peacefully, suspended, and trapped. The surroundings take on bodily qualities, while the figures merge with the spatial context, blurring the distinction between body and space.
